Application submission requirements for the Planning Board:
1. Please fill out the appropriate application form, sign and date it.
2. Please prepare and mail via USPS mail delivery abutter notification forms (abutters are lots within 500 feet of your parcel(s) boundaries).
3. Please provide a copy of any right/ title/ interest you have in the property (written permission from the property owner, deed, purchase and sale, etc).
4. Please provide a written description of what is proposed.
5. Please provide a boundary plan of the property, if one is available.
6. Please provide a sketch plan/concept plan for pre-applications or inquiries. Please provide a draft site plan for conditional use permit applications. Please provide a subdivision plan prepared by a land surveyor for a subdivision application.
7. Please provide other supplemental information that is required per the application form and as appropriate for the development proposed (test pit logs, septic system design, hydrogeologic assessment, stormwater management plan, erosion and sedimentation control plans, landscaping plans, road design and layout, parking design and layout, lighting or photometric analysis, MDOT entrance permits, MDEP Permit by Rule, MDEP Stormwater, MDEP Site Location permits, Army Corps Permits, etc).
8. Provide the required application Fee (see Fee Schedule) to the Town of Dayton.
How to file a Planning Board submission:
1. Complete submissions for all applications shall be submitted to the Town Clerks Office. In order to be placed on an upcoming Planning Board agenda, submissions must be provided a minimum of 20 days prior to a scheduled Planning Board meeting.
2. 7 copies of the submission shall be provided to the Town Clerks Office.
3. The submission shall be emailed to the Planning Board Chair.
Notification of Planning Board Meeting:
1. Once the Planning Board chair receives notice via email of the submission it will be reviewed. The Chair will confirm with the applicant that abutters have been notified of the submission and will confirm with the Treasurer that the application fee has been paid to the Town.
2. The Planning Board will prepare a meeting agenda and email applicants the final agenda a week prior to the scheduled meeting date.
3. Applicants/ owners are required to attend the Planning Board meeting for which their application is scheduled for review. Failure to attend will require rescheduling.
