ELECTIONS

State and Municipal Elections are held at the Town Office located at 33 Clarks Mills Road.  The Town of Dayton holds its Municipal Election on the 2nd Tuesday in June.  The Annual Town Meeting is held following the June election.  Please do not hesitate to contact the Town Office with any questions or concerns.

 

UPCOMING ELECTIONS:

06/10/2025: Annual Town Meeting opens at 7:45 am, with the Municipal Election from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.

06/12/2025: Annual Town Meeting reconvenes at 6 pm to consider remaining warrant articles.

Nomination papers for the June 10, 2025 Municipal Election will be available from the Town Clerk’s office starting on Monday, March 3, 2025 for the following positions:

 

 

 

APPLICATIONS FOR ABSENTEE BALLOTS

You may request an Absentee Ballot up to 90 days prior to Election Day. Your requested ballot will be mailed to you at an address you specify on the request form. Ballots are available to be mailed approximately 30 days prior to Election Day. If you would like to request an Absentee Ballot you may:

Call the Town Office at (207) 499-7526 to request one by phone

Come into the Town Office at 33 Clarks Mills Road, during regular office hours ·

State Election, go online to the State of Maine's Absentee Ballot Request Service (available 90 days prior to the election only) · Print the fillable Application for Absentee Ballot & return it by mail, drop box, or by dropping it at the Town Office in person.
