SELECTMEN’S MEETING MINUTES                                                                                                              

June 5, 2006

PRESENT:  Ted Poirier, Ed LeBlanc, Angela Cushman, Jim Roberts

ABSENT:

OTHERS PRESENT:

Selectman Ted Poirier declared the meeting open at 19:00

ANNOUNCEMENTS: NONE

APPOINTMENTS:                                     

OLD BUSINESS:

1.      Ed LeBlanc confirmed with Dayton School regarding elections being held in the modular building.  The janitors will get help with setup and school buses will be re-directed to the front of the school.

2.      Ed LeBlanc confirmed with Amos Gay that he will be the Moderator and will need to be present Tuesday, June 13^th to swear in the Deputy Moderator, Leo Goodwin.

 NEW BUSINESS:

1.      Discussion about getting a new attorney for the Town of Dayton.  Glenn Anderson has offered to consult over the next couple of days until the Town hires a new attorney.

2.      Ed LeBlanc spoke to BBI regarding trash pick times and attendant not showing up on time.

3.      Ted Poirier clarified that the $1/capita for PSAP will be Saco’s cost.  Dayton is looking to negotiating the same price.  Jim Trask will follow up Chief Brad Paul of Saco.

4.      Town Elections will be held in the School Portable on Tuesday, June 13th.  Ed LeBlanc will follow up with school janitors regarding setup.

5.      Newly elected officials will start of the new fiscal year, July 1^st.

6.      The newly elected town clerk will be sworn in by Virginia Procter, notary, and the new town clerk can swear in the rest of the elected officials.
