SELECTMEN’S MEETING MINUTES                                                                                                              

August 28, 2006

PRESENT:  Ted Poirier, Ed LeBlanc, Angela Cushman, Jim Roberts

Selectman Ted Poirier declared the meeting open at 19:00

 NEW BUSINESS:

1.      Selectmen reviewed the bills for the Hollis/Dyer road work.  Final payment to Dayton Sand & Gravel will be made next week.

2.      Selectmen reviewed the request for a partial reimbursement from Lisa and Steve Morse. Motion by Ed LeBlanc to reimburse the subdivision application fee minus expenses to Lisa and Steve Morse; 2^nd by Ted Poirier.   

3.      Nancy Harriman communicated to the Selectmen that she will be resigning from the Planning Board.  Ted Poirier communicated that Mike Polakewich is interested in joining the Planning Board.  Ted Poirier with check with the Town Attorney to make sure there is not a conflict of interest as Mike serves as Plumbing Inspector and Deputy Code Enforcement Officer for the Town of Dayton.

4.      Update from Michelle Boisjoly, Tax Assessor, regarding the 2006 Tax Commitment.  Taxes will be committed 9/11/06 with a due date of 10/19/06.  The tax rate will be $15.40 per thousand.

5.      Town Office will be closed on Monday, September 9^th.  Town Warrant and Payroll will be signed Tuesday, September 10^th.

6.      A Health Officer needs to be appointed for the Town.  Rose Hill has agreed to be re-appointed.

7.      Ted Poirier will invite Karen Gagnon, acting Fire Chief GMFD, to the next meeting.  Karen would like to review the contract with the Town of Dayton.
