SELECTMEN’S MEETING MINUTES                                                                                                              

May 8, 2006

PRESENT:  Ted Poirier, Jim Trask, Ed Leblanc, Angela Cushman, Jim Roberts

ABSENT: None

OTHERS PRESENT:Mike Souiliere, Valiere Meserve

Selectman Ted Poirier declared the meeting open at 19:00

 ANNOUNCEMENTS: NONE

APPOINTMENTS:  1. None

                                  

OLD BUSINESS:

1.      Update on Omega Pest Control from Jim Trask.  Estimate proposed $275 for an initial visit and $75 quarterly.  Motion by Jim Trask to enter into an agreement with Omega Pest Control for one year, 2nd by Ed LeBlanc.  Passed by 3/0.

2.      Hazardous Waste Day update from Ted Poirier. Nine families participated. $30 per family; $270 will be billed to Dayton. 

3.      Plaque update from Ed LeBlanc.  Individual names would be added to plaque for service greater than 10 years.  Motion was made by Ed LeBlanc to purchase a perpetual plaque & name/position plaques for town service, 2nd by Jim Trask. Passed 3/0.

 

 NEW BUSINESS:

1.      Rusty Keene has requested to hold a public meeting at the town hall regarding the mining of his pit. 

2.      Discussed the request from Scott Dube to remove trees along Murch Rd.  A message was left with Scott Dube stating that the town is not in the position to remove any trees, but he is welcome to do it himself.

3.      Jim Trask to ask Shawn Rumery to serve as Town Warden at June 13th elections will pay $10/hour.

4.      Selectmen discussed the idea of Video/Audio recording of Annual Town Meetings.
