SELECTMEN’S MEETING MINUTES                                                                                                              

June 12, 2006

PRESENT:  Ted Poirier, Ed LeBlanc, Angela Cushman, Jim Roberts, Jim Trask

ABSENT:  

OTHERS PRESENT: Mike Souliere, Dick Hall,

Selectman Ted Poirier declared the meeting open at 19:00

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Town Elections will be held in the School Portable on Tuesday, June 13th starting a 9 am.

APPOINTMENTS:                                     

OLD BUSINESS:

1.      Jim Trask will be following up with Saco Chief Brad Paul regarding PSAP for Dayton.

2.      Ted Poirier will contact Smith Elliott to see if they would have an interest in representing the town or would recommend a lawyer.  Selectmen want a lawyer with municipal experience.

3.      Angela Cushman will take care of finalizing the perpetual plaque.

 

 NEW BUSINESS:

1.      Ed LeBlanc gave an update on the work behind the Town Hall.  There is enough space there to have a full size baseball field, a full size soccer field and multi-purpose field.  The cementary will be cleaned up.  Next steps will include stumping and grading. Discussion was held on potentially funding the work with fundraising and capital improvement.

2.      Jim Trask will check in with the school to locate the flag that was donated by Dave Smith’s family.

3.      Dick Hall discussed the width of subdivision roads with the Selectmen.
