SELECTMEN’S MEETING MINUTES                                                                                                              

September 25, 2006

PRESENT:  Ted Poirier, Angela Cushman, Jim Roberts, Jim Trask

ABSENT:  Ed LeBlanc

OTHERS PRESENT:  Karen Gagnon, Scott Dube, Fred Gay, Darrell Whitney, Lisa Whitney, Gary Connor

Selectman Ted Poirier declared the meeting open at 19:00

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

APPOINTMENTS:           

OLD BUSINESS:

1.      Update on Steele Rd. Is the Steele Rd a public easement? Can utilities be run on a public easement?   Verizon needs the following information in order to set poles:  Steele Rd/Smith Rd was a town road, the width (is it 2 rod road?), and whether the road is a public easement. Ted Poirier will contact David Ordway, Town Attorney and both parties will be contacted to meet again. 

2.      Jim Trask will get an update on GA fuel prices.

 NEW BUSINESS:

1.      Karen Gagnon, acting Fire Chief, was in to have the Selectmen sign the addendum for the current year of service for the Town of Dayton. 

2.      Mike Souiliere was in to give an update.  Striping will happen in about 2 weeks on all main roads.

3.      Mike Garrity, SU7, asked about maintenance on the small portable owned by the Town and used by Town and the school. Jim Trask will follow up with Mike Garrity.

4.      Jim Roberts gave an update on the photocopier repair.  We will be receiving an estimate to repair the photocopier and also an estimate to purchase a new one.
