SELECTMEN’S MEETING MINUTES                                                                                                              

February 12, 2007

PRESENT:  Ted Poirier, Angela Cushman, Jim Trask, Ed LeBlanc

ABSENT:  

OTHERS PRESENT: Mike Souliere, John Boissonnault, Sheila Dube

Selectman Ted Poirier declared the meeting open at 19:10

EXECUTIVE SESSION:  

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

  1. On Wednesday, February 21st at the Goodwins Mills Fire Station a joint public meeting with Dayton and Lyman to discuss the Fire Department budget for 2007-2008.

 

APPOINTMENTS:           

PUBLIC FORUM:

  1. John Boissonnault asked about the process of abandoning roads.  The Selectmen stated the first step is determining a list of roads to be considered for abandonment.

OLD BUSINESS:

  1. Jim Trask gave an update on the Buda Rd.  Jim Trask contacted DOT regarding the road and is expecting a call back.  Jim Roberts provided the Selectmen with some information on the Buda Rd. that has been maintained at the Town Office.  Ed LeBlanc will contact Ron to discuss possibilities.     
  2. Angela Cushman provided Ted Poirier with charter information obtained from the MMA website.  Also, a Municipal Officers manual has been ordered from MMA.
  3. Ed LeBlanc contacted BBI regarding the disposal of computers.  Ed communicated that computer towers are $5, monitors are $15 and mouse/keyboards are $5 at the Town Transfer Station. 

NEW BUSINESS:

  1. Growth Ordinance Committee will meet March 6th at 7 pm at Town Hall.
  2. Mike Souliere provided the Selectmen with a road budget. 
  3. Angela Cushman asked consent agreement fees should placed in a designated account.  The Selectmen discussed the possible need for having an article in this year’s Town warrant.  Angela Cushman to do some further research.
