SELECTMEN’S MEETING MINUTES                                                                                                              

July 9, 2007

PRESENT:  Ted Poirier, Jim Trask, Jim Roberts, Angela Cushman, Ed LeBlanc, Mike Souliere

Selectman Ted Poirier declared the meeting open at 19:03

OLD BUSINESS:

  1. The Dearborn Conditional Use Permit was re-visited by the Selectmen. As part of this permit an amount is to be held in escrow in anticipation of future repairs.  This amount was never received from Dearborn.  Jim Roberts stated that this particular conditional use permit and the current Town ordinance do not contain the language changing the terms of the permit. Five years have lapsed since the permit was issued.  Ted Poirier will contact the Town’s lawyer to determine next steps for conditional use permits.

NEW BUSINESS:

  1. Selectmen discussed upgrading the Town’s polling places which include the Town Hall and the Dayton School for handicapped accessibility.  Ed LeBlanc will contact Mike Garrity, SU7 Maintainence Director, about the upgrades needed for the Dayton School.
  2. Craig and Becky Frappier asked about establishing rules/policies about the use of the boat launch.  Boat Launch RSD Graphics for signs FPL will purchase the signs and install.  Jim Trask will contact Tardiff Towing and Southern Maine Towing regarding towing service for the boat launch.  Ed LeBlanc will contact FPL about manning the boat launch for a least a weekend.
  3. Discussion was held regarding the number of Selectmen meetings.  Jim Trask made a motion to hold Selectmen meetings the 2nd & 4th Mondays during the timeframe of July 1st to November 1st; 2nd by Ted Poirer. Passed 2/1.
  4. Ed LeBlanc inquired about the status of the area at the end of Danley’s driveway on Hollis Rd.  Mike Souliere stated that during the Patriots Day storm the culvert was filled in.  Mike has cleared the culvert, but more work will be completed in this area when shouldering is completed along Hollis Rd.
