SELECTMEN’S MEETING MINUTES                                                                                                              

June 11, 2007

PRESENT:  Ted Poirier, Angela Cushman, Ed LeBlanc, Jim Trask, Jim Roberts

Selectman Ted Poirier declared the meeting open at 19:00

EXECUTIVE SESSION:  

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

 

APPOINTMENTS:     

  1.  

PUBLIC FORUM:

  1. John Gay asked about getting gravel needed on the shoulder between Woody Brown’s and John Gay’s houses.  Mike Souliere will repair the shouldering.
  2. John Gay asked the Selectmen’s report not being in the Town Report this year.  Angela Cushman provided an explanation that after year end closing from the municipal software the auditors made manual adjustments to get to the final audit report.  Angela was concerned about discrepancies between the Selectmen’s report and the audited financial statements.  Angela will provide a handout at the Town meeting outlining expenses for the 2006-2007 fiscal year.  The Selectmen’s report is not a requirement by statue.
  3. John Boissonnault asked about the status of the Hollis Rd/Buda Rd. entrance.  Mike Souliere, Road Commissioner, stated that he walked the area to see if there was a better spot for an entrance.  The best spot is by the old Grantham farm.  Currently, there is no accident history related to this particular intersection.  Ed LeBlanc to follow up with Dearborn about a possible solution.   

OLD BUSINESS:

NEW BUSINESS:

  1. The consent agreement with Dearborn dated 12/16/2002 was discussed by the Selectmen.  The consent agreement indicates that (2) $10,000 deposits were to be given to the Town.  The first $10,000 was to be placed in an account, from which the Town may draw for repairs to the Hollis Road and Dyer Road for any damage caused by trucks going to and from the subject premises.  The 2nd $10,000 was to be placed in an account, from which the Town may draw for improvements to the Hollis Road and Dyer Road.  The first $10,000 was never received from the permit holder.  The 2nd $10,000 was received 11/28/2005 that was used towards the Hollis Road and Dyer Road re-paving.
  2. An air conditioner is needed for the Planning Board/Assessor Office.  Jim Trask made a motion to purchase a new air conditioner for the town office; 2nd by Ted Poirier.  Passed 2/1.
  3. A status on the FEMA paperwork relating to the Patriots Day Storm was provided by Mike Souliere and Jim Roberts.  At this time the Bickford culvert, tree removal, and any shouldering as a result of the storm would be covered by FEMA.  Grant paperwork could be submitted to the state for the Red Brook culvert.  Paperwork needs to be completed and sent to the state by October 2007.
