SELECTMEN’S MEETING MINUTES

October 18, 2004

PRESENT: Ed LeBlanc, Keith Harris, Jim Trask, Chris L’Heureux,

ABSENT: None

OTHERS PRESENT: Jim Roberts, Paul Poirier, Mike Souliere, Mike Polakewich

Selectman Keith Harris declared the meeting open at 19:00

~ANNOUNCEMENTS: NONE

~APPOINTMENTS: NONE

OLD BUSINESS:

1. Mike Souliere says there is still word on the Dyer Road culvert; he will keep checking on with Hollis and keep us posted.

2. Paul Poirier stated that things are looking good at the Salt Shed he is getting sand and salt in there. Paul is still working on the Towns people salt, sand area and he states that he will get it done before snow comes

3. Mike Polakewich came in and stated that Girard Plumbing only had 1 drinking fountain down on the permit; He states that at the meeting in Lyman he does remember that Girard stated he would put in 2 drinking fountains. The one that was installed is a split level with 2 spouts, Mike states that is could be considered 2 drinking fountains in 1 unit.

4. Mike Polakewich stated that he is dealing with a piece of property owned by Gerald Guay on the Dennett Road & South Street that is a wet land, 26 acres parcel. The soil survey’s Albert Frick Associates used the 26 acres to get his septic points; he is requesting that the Selectmen require that he does not build another septic system on that property.

5. Ed LeBlanc states that Maxine has written up the Bill of Sale for the old Town Garage, Keith states that Rusty Keene has started cleaning the area up and has found numerous tires in the woods, over 70 tires that were buried and lots of plastic that was used to cover the salt piles, Lengthy discussion was held over Landry Excavation liability to this stuff that was discovered, and who should be paying for the clean up. It was decided to have Ed talk to Chuck and Charles Landry about this.

~NEW BUSINESS:

1. Tom Foster has resigned from the position of Animal Control Officer. He will do it till we find a replacement as long as it doesn’t take to long to find one. Selectmen will be looking for a replacement.
