SELECTMEN’S MEETING MINUTES

February 28, 2005

PRESENT: Ed LeBlanc, Keith Harris, Jim Trask, Chris L’Heureux

ABSENT: None

OTHERS PRESENT: Jim Roberts, Skip Cushman, Mike Souliere, Maxine Pouravelis, Dennis Corrigan, Mike Garrity, Ted Poirier,

Selectman Ed LeBlanc declared the meeting open at 19:00

~ANNOUNCEMENTS: NONE

APPOINTMENTS: None

OLD BUSINESS:

1. Ed LeBlanc explained that Maxine Pouravelis, Dennis Corrigan, Mike Garrity and Skip Cushman were in to discuss the Law Suit with Gerard Plumbing and Heating. Maxine explained that a letter was received from Kim Gerard’s Lawyer threatening legal action if the balance of approx $10,000 that hasn’t been paid. Gerard’s Lawyer has given us till the end of this month to go over paper work and make our decision. Maxine has looked at all the paper work we have and gave her explanation of it. She gave the Selectmen options, Pay the balance, Compromise on a payoff, or go with the law suit and possible countersuit for attorney fees and possible damages. The Board of Selectmen has made a recommendation to the School Board they would recommend to see if Kim Gerard will accept $4,000 as paid in full. It is a School Board decision and they need to meet and make their decision and let Maxine Pouravelis know as soon as possible. Maxine left meeting at 20:00

 

 

~NEW BUSINESS:

1. Selectmen went into Executive Session at 20:15 to deal with a GA case. Selectmen back from Executive Session at 20:40

 

SIGNED:

1. Credit Card application for a credit card from Key Bank.

2. Back Ground request for an applicant for a Concealed Weapons Permit.

3. Contract with inforME to provide the online Rapid Renewal program to the Town. (copy in file)
