SELECTMEN’S MEETING MINUTES

PRESENT: Ed LeBlanc, Keith Harris, Jim Trask, Chris L’Heureux,

ABSENT: None

OTHERS PRESENT: Jim Roberts, Ted Poirier, Mike Souliere, Paul Poirier, Skip Cushman,

Selectman Ed LeBlanc declared the meeting open at 19:00

~ANNOUNCEMENTS: NONE

APPOINTMENTS: None

1. Paul Poirier brought in the info that was requested at last meeting re the storms that fall under the disaster relief. The info was given to Selectmen Trask to give to our EMA Officer P.J. Tangney. He want on to discuss his plow contract and the possibility of getting an increase in the contract price due to the unforeseen 30% increase in salt and the unforeseen increase in fuel cost. Motion by Ed LeBlanc to add a line item in the Snow Plow budget for the Amount of $5,000 for a possible contract adjustment next year if salt and fuel prices stay high, this will be determined by the Selectmen in the fall of 2005. 2nd by Jim Trask. Passed 3/0. Motion by Ed LeBlanc 2nd by Jim Trask to adjust the disbursement of the snow plow contract funds for the 1st payment starting the 1st warrant of the new fiscal year and going till May and the 10% hold back payable in June. Passed 2/1

2. Angela Cushman will be here tomorrow starting to do the data entry into the budgetary software.

3. Keith Harris says he has found out that Alfred Fire Department will do our ID Badges. They just need a digital photo and the info we need on the badge and they will do it. Michelle Boisjoly will be asked to get the pictures after she purchases the digital camera. Keith will take care of this.

4. Motion by Ed LeBlanc 2nd by Jim Trask to add acceptance of credit cards onto our rapid renewal program. Keith Harris will take care of this. Passed 3/05.

~NEW BUSINESS:

1. Mike Souliere was in to discuss the Roads budget for the upcoming fiscal year, it was discussed what the possible work would be done and the cost of these projects, no final decision was made on the projects to be done but a budget of $150,500

2. Selectmen’s budget workshop was held from 19:45 to 20:45 to go over the selectmen’s recommendations to the budget committee. See attached draft articles.
