SELECTMEN’S MEETING MINUTES

JUNE 06, 2005

PRESENT: Ed LeBlanc, Keith Harris, Chris L’Heureux,

ABSENT: Jim Trask

OTHERS PRESENT: Jim Roberts, Ted Poirier, Mike Souliere, Shawn Dutremble, Skip Cushman

Selectman Ed LeBlanc declared the meeting open at 19:00

~ANNOUNCEMENTS: NONE

APPOINTMENTS: 1. Ken Booker to a 3 year term on the Zoning Board of Appeals.

OLD BUSINESS:

1. Selectmen reviewed the recommendations of the Road Committee for road repairs for this year (see attached letter) They have made a plan to spend the budget along with the $25,000 that is being held from Dearborne. Ed will chase this money out. Motion by Keith Harris 2nd by Ed LeBlanc to have the Road Commissioner get the work done as recommended by the Road Committee as written in their minutes of May 26 2005. Passed 2/0

2. Letter was received from International Salt re unpaid invoice in the amount of $1,343.85. Ed LeBlanc will talk to Paul Poirier with this and get it taken care of.

 

~NEW BUSINESS:

1. Skip Cushman and Dennis Dutremble were in representing the School Board to request a public hearing on June 15 6:30pm and then a special Town Meeting on June 29 2005 6:30pm to vote on options of what the Town wants to do with our portable and the school kids for next year. Skip will take care of the postings.

2. Skip Cushman is also requesting Bus Turn Around Signs at SDI pit on RT 35 for a bus that turns around there now.

3. Motion by Keith Harris 2nd by Ed LeBlanc to Appoint Ken Booker for a 3 year term to the Zoning Board of Appeals. Passed 2/0

4. Salt Bids for the 2005/2006 year has been received from SMRPC, Ed will fill this out with the Snow Bid Contractor (Paul Poirier) and get it filled out and sent in.
