SELECTMEN’S MEETING MINUTES
May 09, 2005
PRESENT: Ed LeBlanc, Keith Harris, Jim Trask Chris L’Heureux,
ABSENT: None
OTHERS PRESENT: Jim Roberts, Ted Poirier,
Selectman Ed LeBlanc declared the meeting open at 19:00
~ANNOUNCEMENTS: NONE
APPOINTMENTS: None
OLD BUSINESS:
1. Ed LeBlanc is still working on getting the bid packet for the Dyer Road culvert from Hollis so we can give it to interested parties.
2. Road Committee is still working on getting prices and a decision on what to do with Hollis Road, they should have a report by next week.
3. Ed LeBlanc is going to call the Town Attorney and get her final opinion on the Town’s Abandoned Roads and the procedure to list all of the roads to clarify the status of the old roads in the Town.. Ed will hopefully have this information next week.
4. Keith Harris will set a workshop meeting with the ZBA to discuss changes; he will get back to the Board next week with a workshop date and time.
5. Ed gave the Board an update re the School’s possible mold issue, He states that the Union 7 Administration, and School Board are handling things well and that the School has set up a Facilities Committee to work on the issue and also look at long time fixes.
~NEW BUSINESS:
1. Jim Trask has received the 2004 Annual Solid Waste report, he will work with Blow Bro Ind to get this filled out and mailed back to the state.
2. Keith Harris has received the Job Vacancy survey from the Department of labor he will be filling this out and sending it into the sate as soon as possible.
3. Letters were received by Adelphia and the Clark Hill PLC Attorney at Law re the pending sale of Adelphia and the possible need for Municipalities to renegotiate the contracts for their Town’s People, Jim Roberts has been assigned to keep informed on this matter and report back to the Board.
4. The Selectmen have reviewed the Local Referendum questions, Motion by Ed Leblanc 2nd by Jim Trask to send the questions as written to the Voters, Passed 3/0 Local Referendum was signed by the Selectmen and notarized by Virginia Procter, (copy attached)
5. Michelle Boisjoly has requested her 3 month evaluation, Keith Harris stated that May 23, 2005 at 7pm would be available to do this, the other Selectmen have agreed and Chris will notify Michelle of this date and time.
6. Michelle Boisjoly will also be scheduled to come in on May 23, 2005 to discuss last year’s Commitment Book. Chris will notify her of this.
7. Michelle has requested to purchase a fire proof filing cabinet from Fisher James they have 2nds available with fireproofing guaranteed for $895.00 and $150.00 for delivery and set up. Motion by Keith Harris 2nd by Ed LeBlanc to have Michelle Boisjoly purchase this with the delivery and set up charge. Passed 3/0
