SELECTMEN’S MEETING MINUTES

January 31, 2005

PRESENT: Ed LeBlanc, Keith Harris, Jim Trask Chris L’Heureux,

ABSENT: None

OTHERS PRESENT: Jim Roberts, Mike Souliere,

Selectman Ed LeBlanc declared the meeting open at 19:00

~ANNOUNCEMENTS: NONE

APPOINTMENTS: None

OLD BUSINESS:

1. Ed LeBlanc stated that the contract for the Assessor is still not done, The Town Attorney will have it done by Wednesday and ed will get it signed by her then, the only change from last weeks review was to have a 1st performance review in 3 months not 6 months.

2. A discussion was held re how she is to report to the Selectmen, it was decided that a monthly report would be sufficient and that if there were things in the report that they need more information on they will schedule a meeting.

 

~NEW BUSINESS:

1. The State has reviewed our Comprehensive Plan that was approved by the voters in November. They have come up with 6 areas that need attention before it will get State Approval, Motion by Jim Trask 2nd by Keith Harris to send it back to the Comprehensive Planning Committee. Passed 3/0 Dave Clark has been notified.

2. Jim Roberts gave the Selectmen an over view on the Rapid Renewal Program from the State. The Selectmen were very impressed and wants Jim to look into it further and get the ball rolling on it so we can participate. Motion made by Ed LeBlanc 2nd By Jim Trask to have Jim Roberts get things started on this program. Passed 3/0. Jim will get a better explanation on total fees and let the Board know about accepting credit cards and doing electronic checks.

3. Gorham Micro has provided the Town with a proposal on upgrading the Town computers. Selectmen looked over the proposal and it was requested that Jim Roberts and Chris L’Heureux work with Gorham Micro and report back to the Board with their recommendations.
