Welcome to the Town of Dayton Road Commissioner page.  The Road Commissioner position is an elected position for a three-year term.  Responsibilities include road repairs, posting of signs, roadside mowing, tree trimming, etc.  The Road Commissioner works with the Select Board, in establishing a budget and prioritizing roads to be worked on for each year.

The Town snowplowing is contracted out.

Any large construction project is awarded by bid process and is posted on the Town website as well as in a local paper.
