Committee/Board Membership

If you want to join a Committee, download the Application for Membership Form located on the Town Website and fill it out.  Then you can mail it, or drop it off at the Town Office. 

There are two exceptions to this the Board of Selectmen, and the Dayton School Board.  These are elected positions.  Each year before Town Meeting notice is sent out announcing a vacancy on the Boards.  You will need to pick up nomination papers and collect the required number of valid signatures. Once this is accomplished you return the papers to the Town clerk for validation. Then in June at the Annual Town Meeting a vote is taken to elect a member from the list of candidates. 

Also Every three years a Road Commissioner is elected following the same procedure as above.
