SELECTMEN’S MEETING MINUTES
August 30, 2004
PRESENT: Ed LeBlanc, Keith Harris, Jim Trask (19:55), Chris L’Heureux,
ABSENT: None
OTHERS PRESENT: Jim Roberts, M, Souliere, T. Poirier, W. Harris
Selectman Ed LeBlanc declared the meeting open at 19:00
~ANNOUNCEMENTS: NONE
~APPOINTMENTS: NONE
OLD BUSINESS:
1. Ads went out for the old Town Garage Auction; it will be posted in the Courier for 3 weeks beginning last Thursday’s issue.
2. School Building is coming along, the underground for electrical conduit and plumbing will be started tomorrow and the turn around driveway will be started, everything looks like it will be done for the start of school with the exception of plumbing. Selectmen and CEO will be meeting at the school tomorrow to go over things at noon.
3. Mike Souliere talked to Road Commissioner over in Hollis and they still have no idea what is going to take place Dyer Road culvert. Mike will keep following up on this.
4. Mike Souliere stated that Dayton Sand and Gravel will be shouldering the newly paved section of Hight Road this week.
5. Hollis Road: Pavement breaking up near Paradis residence has been patched. Work on the rest of that road will commence after the section of Hight road is completed.
6. Workers Comp update: Jim states that the school has been budgeted for Workers Comp but has never been billed out; The Saco School Dept will be reimbursing the Town for these expenses. He is still working with the insurance carrier to get the rates broken down between the Town and the school.
~NEW BUSINESS:
1. Wilma Harris was in concerning a bus stop she has on Clarks Mills Road near the John Clark Road, the bus stop sign is obstructed and needs to be moved or tree’s need to be trimmed, Mike Souliere will take care of this.
2. Wilma Harris is also requesting a Children Playing Sign for Hill Road by her residence. She states that if the Town gets it she will pay for it and install it on a tree, Mike Souliere will order this.
3. Town Clerk is requesting a covered trash can due to our trash getting scattered by animals every week. Selectmen discussed it and decided to have all the trash taken to the dumpster at the School instead of getting a can. Ed LeBlanc will notify them of this.
4. Comp Plan, Ed LeBlanc will get a copy for the selectmen so they can go over this before the meeting on September 7 2004 at 7pm.
5. York County Hazard Mitigation Plan has been received and reviewed, a copy was filed and a copy will be given to our EMA Director.
6. Next Monday is Labor Day so there will be no Selectmen’s Meeting on Monday September 6, 2004, The Meeting will be held on Tuesday September 7, 2004 at 6:30.
