51607_142646_0.jpgWelcome to the official website of the Town of Dayton, Maine.

Incorporated in 1854 Dayton is one of the smallest towns in York County. Located west of the Saco River and North of Biddeford, Dayton was originally a farming community, but in recent years most of its residents commute to work in neighboring towns and cities.

Dayton has no Town Charter and operates under Home Rule Authority. A three member Board of Selectmen meet every Monday to approve the weekly expenditures as approved at the Annual Town Meeting.

At this website we hope to keep you informed about your local government, upcoming meetings and other events. You can also find links to other information which may be useful to you. We will be adding more information in the coming weeks, so check back often. If you have any suggestions on what you would like to see on this site, please send an email and we will see if we can help.
