Ed LeBlanc opened up the meeting giving some background on the referendum question regarding hired vs. elected positions.

Employee handbook, job descriptions will need to be completed.

Fair Hearing Board will need to be established

John Boissonnault asked whether if this referendum passed, would the current individuals be automatically hired or is the town required to advertise.

Ed LeBlanc responded that research would need to be completed to fully address.  But his understanding would be that the individuals currently holding would automatically be hired into the positions.

Woody Brown stated that one issue that residents had in the past regarding this referendum One selectmen could hire who they wanted, but with the Hiring Panel this would be eliminated.

Jim Trask made a motion to adjourn 7:15; 2nd Ted Poirier.  Passed 3/0.
