SELECTMEN’S MEETING MINUTES                                                                                                               
March 26, 2007
PRESENT:  Ted Poirier, Angela Cushman, Jim Trask, Ed LeBlanc
ABSENT:  
OTHERS PRESENT: Darrell Whitney, Sheila Dube, John Gay, Mildred Tuttle
Selectman Ted Poirier declared the meeting open at 19:00
EXECUTIVE SESSION:  

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

APPOINTMENTS:     
1.      Mike Polakewich, Plumbing Inspector, expire 2010
2.      Mike Polakewich, Deputy CEO, expire 2010
3.      Mildred Tuttle, PSAP Coordinator, expire 2010
PUBLIC FORUM:
1.      John Gay asked about the status on paving of Rt. 35.  Ted Poirier communicated that planning work would not start until 2008.
2.      Leo Goodwin was in to ask the Selectmen about putting a culvert at the end of a driveway.  Leo is looking to extend his current driveway to loop back around on Waterhouse Rd.  Mike Souliere will review tomorrow morning.     
OLD BUSINESS:
1.      Selectmen have spoken with Paul Poirier regarding updating insurance and paperwork regarding the snowplowing contract.  Angela Cushman to follow up with Paul Poirier on status of paperwork.
NEW BUSINESS:
1.      Don Ballute from Paquin & Carroll was in to update the Selectmen on insurance coverage for the Town.
2.      Mildred Tuttle was in to provide an update on the Eleven Town Group.  Some issues that have come up are Budget Committee responsibilities, York County Budget, and school consolidation.  A sub-committee was established to look into hiring an investigating company to look into how $3.8 million of surplus was spent.  Mildred suggested having the County Commission come in to speak to the Selectmen.
3.      In January 2007, the Selectmen sent out 12 letters to individuals with past due real estate accounts.  Angela Cushman to provide information to the Selectmen in order to make decision on next steps.
