SELECTMEN’S MEETING MINUTES                                                                                                               
July 10, 2006
PRESENT:  Ted Poirier, Ed LeBlanc, Angela Cushman
ABSENT:  Jim Trask
OTHERS PRESENT: Jim Roberts, Mike Polakewich, Amos Gay, Mike Souiliere
Selectman Ted Poirier declared the meeting open at 19:00
ANNOUNCEMENTS:

APPOINTMENTS:           
OLD BUSINESS:
1.      Ed LeBlanc and Ted Poirier gave an update on the parking issue at the Boat Launch.  The Selectmen have signed a contract with Southern Maine Towing.  The towing company will put up a sign re: towing information.  Morris Ouellette, Sheriff,  will work with the Selectmen in addressing any issues at the Boat Launch.
2.      Mike Polakewich was in to discuss PSAP & dispatch.  Mike will follow up with Jim Trask regarding working together to decide on direction.

~NEW BUSINESS:
1.      Jim Roberts and Ted Poirer met with Paul Schumacher regarding mapping the future land map.
2.      Selectmen have decided to put the Mast Rd work and Town Lot clearing out to bid.  Specifications for the Mast Rd. and Town Lot clearing will be available at the Town Office.  Bids will be open July 24th at 7:30 pm at the Selectmen’s Meeting held at the Town Office.  
3.      The Hight Rd will be the next road to be paved.  Ed LeBlanc will follow up with Dayton Sand & Gravel to see when the work can get started.
4.      The Selectmen approved Susan Bellerose and Georgie Cole to attend MV training on August 9th & 10th.
5.      The Selectmen approved Michelle Boisjoly, Tax Assessor, to attend training August 1st & 2nd.  The Assessor will not be in the office Wednesday, August 2nd.
6.      The Selectmen have asked Amos Gay to survey and determine the Village District Zone.  Amos Gay charges $100/hr for a 2- man crew and estimates $2,000-3,000 and would take about 2 weeks. Amos Gay will provide a written confirmation of work.
