SELECTMEN’S MEETING MINUTES
June 26, 2006
PRESENT: Ted Poirier, Angela Cushman, Jim Trask, Ed LeBlanc

OTHERS PRESENT: Jim Roberts, David Ordway, Nancy Harriman, Millie Tuttle
Selectman Ted Poirier declared the meeting open at 19:15
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
APPOINTMENTS:
1. Janice Saunders, Hunting & Fishing, effective June 26, 2006.
2. Virginia Procter, Registrar of Voters, expires July 2009.
OLD BUSINESS:
1. Jim Trask will draft a letter to inform individual that the abatement for 2 years was approved and copy will be given to assessor and tax collector.
2. Selectmen discussed dispatch and PSAP with Millie Tuttle. Motion by Jim Trask to go with Biddeford Dispatch and PSAP through the State; 2nd by Ed LeBlanc. Passed by 3/0.
3. Selectmen discussed having a public hearing regarding funding of ball fields behind Town Hall. Motion by Ted Poirier to hold a Public Hearing on Monday, July 31st at 6:30 pm; 2nd by Jim Trask. Passed 3/0.
4. Selectmen discussed the use of the portable for the Headstart program. Selectmen decided to keep the portable for their use. Angela Cushman to notify Mike Knight via Skip Cushman.
~NEW BUSINESS:
1. David Ordway, of Smith & Elliot, was in to discuss representing the Town as an attorney. Motion by Ed LeBlanc to hire David Ordway; 2nd by Jim Trask. Passed 3/0.
2. Hollis/Dyer Road update from Ted Poirier. Ted spoke with Dayton Sand & Gravel regarding wash out of shouldering. Mike Souiliere will get material from Dayton Sand & Gravel and fix up shouldering.
3. Selectmen discussed letter to Mike Polakewich.
4. Selectmen will be discussing the completion of the Comprehensive Plan at the next meeting.
